Introduction to this Guide

This guide is to help people familarize with the various weapons in the game Alliance of Valiant Arms and to learn all the details about them before actually purchasing and using them. Most likely not all of these guns will be out when AVA-ijji is full released however these are all the current weapons which are out in other versions of AVA and will eventually come out for AVA-ijji.

Brief Explanation of Different Weapons

- Primary Weapons
Your primary weapon goes in your number 1 slot. When you make a new character you are supplied with basic primary weapons and there are also weapons in which you can later use Euros to replace them. The weapons that are provided for you when you first start the game are permanent, but there are also weapons you can buy later that are temporary or permanent. Only primary weapons are customizable. Also, in order to customize, some weapons require you to have a special rail remodeling.

- Permanent Weapons

The prices of these weapons are 10 times that of buying them for temporary use. However, with the little amount it costs to repair them it is very beneficial to buy them permanently if you favor that weapon. If you continue to not repair the weapons, and the point when 80% maintenance is needed you will get a warning saying if you don’t repair your weapon that the performance of your weapon will drop quickly. However, if you repair your weapon it’s performance will go back as if it were brand new. The fee for rail remodeling, and the price of parts together are 10 times as expensive as temps, but after using up your temp parts your weapon will “de-grad” to it’s original status.
Note: If you remodel the P90 to TR then the repair costs will become cheaper.

- Temporary Weapons

The price is one tenth that of permanent weapons, but the more you use the weapon, the weapons usage cage will go down. These weapons are unrepairable, and once your usage cage gets to 0 you won’t be able to use the weapon anymore. Although you will get a warning saying your weapon needs repairs, but in actuality you can’t repair the weapons. However, the performance of the weapon will not drop like permanent weapons do. Remolding fees and parts are also one tenth the price as permanent ones. One thing that should be noted, if your gun will expire before your parts you an actually sell your parts separately in exchange for Euros.

- Permanent vs Temporary Weapons

In my opinion permanent weapons are the better choice to go. In the longer run when compared to continually buying a temp weapon it is cheaper to buy permanent weapons. To add on, some weapons can only be bought permanently. However this is just my opinion and feel free to choose whichever of course.

- Secondary Weapons

Secondary weapons are in your number 2 slot. When you make a new character you’ll be given the P226 as a secondary weapon. Of the current sub weapons sold, all of them are impossible to repair and are not possible to buy permanently.

- Close Combat Weapons

Close Combat Weapons (knife) go under slot number 3. Currently when you make a character the only knife you can get is the field knife. The field knife never needs repairs and can be used indefinitely.

- Grenades

Grenades go under slot number 4. When you first make a new character you will be supplied with M67 hand grenades. The same as secondary weapons, all the current grenades are all sold temporarily and no upgrades can be made to them.

- Silencers

With the exception of a few guns, almost all the SMG and some of the secondary weapons you can attach a silencer.

• Pros
o Sound from your weapon will be silenced greatly
o Your guns muzzle flash will disappear
o When you hit your enemies the direction the damage came from will not be shown to them.

• Cons
o The strength of your gun will greatly decrease
o The size of your gun will increase and so even though you’re hiding behind something your gun may stick out giving away where you’re hiding
o It takes time to put the silencer on and makes noise as you do it

Explanation of Performance Factors + Weapons Data

Damage – Amount of damage per bullet
Range – Range until bullets start to do less damage
Accuracy – The accuracy of the first shot
Stability – Recoil/How big your aimer becomes when doing continuous fire and how long it takes for the aimer to go back to “stable” size
Mobility – Speed in which you move while holding the gun
Rate of Fire – The speed in which you fire continuously.
Ammo - Amount of bullets per clip.
Aim Stability - This refers to how fast your crosshair recovers from fully open to it's minimum cross hair size between shots.
Recoil Shape Factor – This refers to how your gun will move during recoil.

Some guns go in Z shapes, some V shapes, and some I shapes.

Examples:
Z shape = m4a1
V shape = Dragunov
I shape = Aks-74u
O shape = G36 Rail burst mod

Weapons with Images in English - Weapons that are already out for AVA-ijji
Unreleased Guns - Weapons that are out in all other versions of AVA but not yet out for AVA-ijji. These weapons will be the ones which will probably be the first to be released.
New Guns - These are the guns which are new to AVA-Korea and have yet to be released in other versions of AVA. These weapons will probably take the longest to come to ijji.

Weapon Basics - What You Have to Know - For Beginners

1) In Game Money
Use your money wisely. Sure it's fun to buy armor parts or various nades, but I wouldn't recommend doing this so early on as you will start to run out of money fast.

2) Choose Your Primary Weapon Wisely!
I can't stress this enough. Don't choose a weapon because it looks awesome or because the frag vid you saw for that weapon pwns. Read up on the weapon and see how it works first and then buy it. This way you don't end up buying some really expensive gun only to find out you suck using it and you end up selling it losing money. An easy way to "test" a weapon is to pick it up in game after you've killed someone who was using it. That way you are not using any of your money and you're getting a first hand experience with it.

3) Every Weapon is Different
You must keep this in mind when buying a weapon. Some guns are better at mowing people down fast, some are better at picking off people and then retreating, some are good at certain distances etc etc. Read the above part of this guide to see how a gun will be like to see if it will fit with your style of play.

4) Starter Guns Are NOT NOOB
Keep your starter weapons for as long as you need. It will help you not only master a gun, but it will help you get a feel for the game before you start experimenting with other guns and will help you save money in the long run for when you want to buy some more heavy duty weapons.

SMG - Reviews

- MP5A3 AVA-ijji User Rating 5.8

Probably one of the easiest guns you’ll ever use in AVA. Because you are very mobile when using this gun, this is an ideal smg for the point man and when equipped you should be the person in the front line attacking with speed and burst fire. If you use the Burst Upgrade then I highly recommend using this gun for close range, if you add the SS Barrel then I recommend staying kind of mid-range since you’ll still hit your enemies from that range while being able to back off for cover if you need it. Not only that, because you can also use a silencer with this gun, makes this smg one of best in terms of having specialties for various situations. As an ideal weapon it is kind of safe to say it is too strong. However, up against guns like TAR you will probably loose. That being said, as a means to save money I would highly recommend to keep using this weapon and upgrading it until you have racked up a lot of Euros.

- Bizon PP-19 AVA-ijji User Rating 7.4

For this gun the thing you must do is upgrade the gun to have a better RoF. If you don’t do that then you will most likely end up loosing to other PM. With that being said, I would also recommend upgrading with the spetzna to make easier HS. That being said, not only is the RoF quite low, but the power of the gun is also a bit lower when compared to other SMGs. That being said, it is a semi-good gun to use during Prison.

- Uzi AVA-ijji User Rating 8.7

This gun is great for maps with small corridors. This weapon is purely close range only though. It’s great to mow down guys who are close by, but if you’re playing a map that is big and has open spaces just don’t use this weapon because there are many other guns which will destroy you.

- MP5K-PDW AVA-ijji User Rating 8.2

First bit of advice is don’t use this gun while running! Also, the power of this gun isn’t so great when compared to other PM SMGs so unless you start shooting before your enemy (if they are a PM) you won’t win. Therefore when running into another PM you must aim for an HS. Also, try to avoid at all cost mid range and long range battles.

- UMP45 AVA-ijji User Rating 7.6

One upgrade I highly recommend is the RC Stock to make easier HS. Also doing the Mechanism upgrade is recommended. Your RoF will go down, but having better recoil control will make things way easier for you. The downside of this gun is the amount of ammo you have so try your best to burst fire mostly. In 1 on 1 combat this gun is great. In 2 on 1 this gun will still do you wonders. In a 3 on 1 situation your now on kamikaze mission because you’ll be reloading part way and that’s when you’ll get killed. Also remember that once they get mid range start using the UMP’s scope.

RPG-7 Strategy - By n3wb$un173d

-Never stand still with an RPG. There's always something you could be doing with it, if you're not focusing on the tank, use it to kill or harass rushers. The RPG-7 has no spread. When you're scoped in, the grenade will hit exactly where you're pointing, even when you're moving.
That said, is it better to walk out into the open, stand there, hope nobody hits you, scope in, THEN fire or is it better to scope in from a safe place, walk out, fire while moving, then go back to your safe spot to reload? The key is exposing yourself for as little time as possible.

-You have 3 rockets, not 2. There's a LOT of things you can do with that third grenade. Kill a rusher, or sniper, or people trying to repair the tank, anything that poses an immediate threat. Don't go back to a locker for a new RPG if you've already used 2 unless you don't see any targets or if you see someone else going for the locker. Keep in mind 2 people with 1 grenade each ALSO can damage the tank. Too often I see people clogging up lockers. Most of the time, this is the reason.

-Your pistol becomes your primary. Even though the RPG is a good anti-infantry weapon, it is not the perfect one. This game isn't TF2, don't count on splash damage to do jack against moving opponents. While it isn't exactly realistic that RPG's have the same kill radius as a frag grenade, they were done this way to stop people from abusing them. As if you needed another reason to practice using a pistol effectively: you'll want to have it out when you have no intention of using your RPG.
